As the weather was cold and windy, Dusty and I went up to S
LC together and drove around. Dusty had been seeing signs for Gardner Village and surprised me by taking me there on a blind date. It was so cute and I was amazed at this complex of old dwellings set up in the heart of the city.

We went in all the little shops and had a blast stocking up on old school candy and bakery items - I think our eyes were bigger than our stomachs - we had a major sugar overload :)

It's an old mill so there are a ton of water falls. ponds and ducks around the place.

This was my favorite feature - it sounded so cool when the water tipped out of the wheel.

We were messing around while waiting for our lunch table.

We lucked out at the restaurant and managed to snag a seat in the much
coveted mill
silo.

We even got the table with the only window :) There was a booth for each of the original mill owners wives - all 13 of them!!
If you haven't been here, I really recommend it-esp if you like crafts and candy!!

I love Gardner Village! I've been there a couple times with my sisters, and my first stop is always the Candy Shoppe, and I help myself to some free fudge. You can't mess with a good routine. Also, I guess you already know this, but Gardner Village used to be a polygamist colony. I find that kind of fascinating. I've also heard they serve fried avocado at the restaurant there...One day, I will prove that theory.
That place looks pretty sweet. I think it's your birthday today. If so, happy birthday! If not, then disregard.
i've always wanted to go up there. i heard its really cool when all the witches come out around halloween.
We went there for Christmas one year with Wendy. But it was REALLY cold. You guys are always doing stuff, I think that's great!
