We arrived on Friday night and the kids immediately jumped into the pool and had a great time swimming outdoors for the first time this year.
When we woke up the kids literally wiped out the breakfast bar - I'm not sure where they put it but they can eat more food than I've ever seen!
The boys were dying all morning to go to the fountains so that was our first stop, after getting the necessary sun block and hats.
They had a blast running in and out of the fountain.
I love this photo of Tim - he thought it was great to be able to wear his new hat in the water.

This was after they exhausted themselves in the fountains and while we werestocking up on supplies for camping. It's amazing how they perked up when we gave them icees!

We also bought a bat and ball at the dollar store and it was surprisingly fun in the middle of the desert! As you can tell - James didn't quite get this one :)

Once the cactus was removed and we all enjoyed our burgers, we hiked up the nearby canyon.

OK so we failed in one aspect of the trip - we forgot the best part - SM'ORES!
Don't worry though, Dusty came up with the genius idea of melted gushers on crackers - sounds gross yes, but the kids loved them and a least the whole camp fire wasn't ruined!
Here's a tip on melting weird candy on a stick - gushers = good, Swedish fish = bad!

James lools just like Dusty in that last pic. I realized that your entire blog is mostly outside!
Glad you had a great weekend Sarah. We've had fantastic weather this last week, went in the pool for the first time this season - 20degrees - not sure what that is in farenheit but it was very, very cold - but very invigorating and great to get out in the warm sunshine again!
What are sm'ores by the way (some kind of candy?)

I was thinking the same thing about that last picture. Just like Chuck. Their posing in all those pictures is hilarious. My favorite pictures are the Tim and cactus picture and the timed family picture in the canyon.
I love the phone pic. It's like those late-night tv commercials, where they're like: "Are you alone right now? Wanna have some fun with some good looking singles? Call..." The looks on their faces. TOTALLY worth .89 a minute. ;)
