Birthday Weekend!

I had a fantastic Birthday this year. First I went out to lunch with friends at my favorite sandwich shop which I won't name. Then, once Leisha had spent hours on my hair making it look fabulous, Dusty surprised me with taking Friday off work and taking me up to SLC for a night out on the town. When we arrived at the gateway he set up a really cute cake plate with 2 of my all time favorite cupcakes and 8 cake bites (28 altogether).

I was determined to get the whole thing in my mouth :)

I think you can tell I was excited for my prezzies :)
I got some great presents including a lantern, clothes, yoga mat/video, mini casserole dishes and Mum sent me my Grandpa's globe that I wanted when they packed up my Grandparents house.

Dusty then took me to a Tapas restaurant and the food was delicious. I have to thank my Dad for introducing us both to Tapas - it's so good!

A birthday toast!

The next day we went to an organic cafe that served a great brunch. I love this photo cause Dusty has the sliest look on his face!

I had a grilled Brie sandwich on Cranberry, walnut bread- it was simply divine!

He then took us to the Red Butte gardens where I got to admire all of the beautiful flowers - especially my favorite flower - the daffodil - there were thousands of them!

I fell in love with the local wildlife!

And Dusty went hopping down the pond...

I love the clouds here but if you look carefully you can see Dusty hanging around...

This was my best impression of a bird

Cute family photo moment

Here are some of those lovely daffodils

We also had the boys at the weekend and they made me a whole book of pictures for my b-day - they really are sweet. You can see my lantern right next to James and his awesome expression

We also took them hiking on Saturday.

And of course they had to find lizards

After Dusty put it on my back - it wanted to chill by me for a while - try and spot the lizard, it's really camouflaged

Thanks everyone for a wonderful, memorable birthday!!

What a great time you've all had. I was very impressed with Dusty's hanging, especially the shadow it created in the water!
James looks more like him every time I see him.
Stunning pics Sarah, entertaining and especially interesting for me as you're so far away. Now we're back home I'll be taking regular visits to this site xxx Ma

That cloud picture is beautiful! And is that Dusty shirtless in that one picture? Cause it looks like he's been shaving his chest...or waxing maybe. Leisha gets everyone doesn't she. I'm glad you had a good birthday and great weather!

It looks like you had a fantastic birthday! And that food looked amazing. I'm so jealous of you getting all that good stuff.
One day I'm going to make Jeff do something awesome like that for me...like real adults do. I'm taking notes.
