When it WAS spring time

Dusty and I have been enjoying the warm weather (until the snow hit this week)by doing a little yard rejuvenation. We decided two of the bushes in our front flower bed sucked so we transferred one to the side yard (I think it's dead now but at least it's out of the way). I snagged a water fountain from Costco on sale and we set up rocks around it to make a rock garden.
When visiting a local garden center, we found some cool step-able plants that are perfect for rock gardens AND you can step on them! Dusty is great at taking the most random photos and I guess this one is of me planting.
This is the finished product - I love the sound of the water and I can't wait until the plants get really big and spread over the rocks.

We also bought some rosemary and transplanted our strawberry plants to boxes so they wouldn't spread so much.

The next project was the front planter - the cat mint was taking over so we transplanted it and replaced it with lavender. We used the little plants in the front last year and they should spread into a nice thick blanket.

So this it what it looks like all together. The next project will be a bench where the other bush is so we're not hanging out in the front white trashing it in camping chairs - I'm sure the neighbors will appreciate this!

Here is another random photo by Dusty that made me laugh. This time it was of us sorting out over 800 photos that we recently printed from the last year.

I'm really impressed with you ability to rock the greenery and such. I really fall short of such things. And you look fantastic. I hate you. In a nice way, of course. ;)
