Heading to Christmas

After a lovely Thanksgiving day, Dusty and I decided to go our for a hike in the desert. We went to a really old mining cemetery and an old pit mine. We knew we were in the right place as we were one of many jeeps roaming around the mountains

Spot the jeep - I haven't been able to yet but it's down there somewhere.

I think Dusty only likes to hike if he can risk his life somehow.....

This is kitty chasing the dragon - he loves his cat nip scratching pad

This weekend we followed our tradition by picking out a Christmas tree with the boys and dressing it ready for the presents :)

We had the boys make their own Christmas decorations this year and here they are showing them off - this was James' idea of smiling for the camera....

This is what James captured when we gave him the camera!

This was Tim's photo...

And this is what happens when you leave the boys on their own with the camera....(don't you love the mismatching socks - this is apparently the thing to do these days)

We also went to the Anderson Christmas party this weekend and it was really fun with games and train rides for everyone......

I love this one of Kyle and Tim playing Ping Pong disco move style

We got to go on the Polar Express train ride this year for the first time

It was a lot of fun and I can't believe how much work goes into it each year - we got the whole Stevenson clan on one ride

I think we were probably the loudest group there

I look a bit crazy in this one but I blame it on all the excitement

The boys also got to visit Santa. James actually sat on his lap this year - last year he wouldn't go near him!

They also got a candy cane which James now believes stands for his name - J for James (he was pretty happy about that)
Thanks to everyone - it was an awesome party!

K. So the place you hiked to? Truly beautiful. I'm a little biased because of the snow, I think. And your time with the kids always looks fun. Mismatched socks IS definitely the thing, these days. Not only is it incredibly stylish, but takes like, a full ten seconds less of searching for a matching sock! Also, I wish we would have gone to the Christmas party. We then could have avoided the guy I had to sit next to, and his girlfriend that had a baby voice and probably weighed a total of 80lbs. 20 of which were in her boobs. Seriously.

That picture of Chuck on the that grate thing literally made me want to throw up. I hate stuff like that, i can't even do bridges very well. Just thinking about it now as I write this I am starting to get all panicked and having an anxiety attack.

I love your Christmas tree, and that it is REAL! that is sooo cool, and probably smells really nice.

you forgot to mention Our family was riding with your family on the train. I will 2nd that it was probably the loudest train ride there. :)

Wow you really are getting into the Xmas spirit early. What fun you're all having.
UK is still under snow and France is melting. I've put out 6 bird feeders since we spoke and replenished them loads of times!
Hope we get to see you in Feb a la Mexico?! xx Ma & Step Pa xxx

Of course you were the loudest group! Ha ha.

And mismatched socks are the in thing. I see it on UVU campus. It's weird. I'm sure it makes laundry very frustrating.

Your tree is beautiful.

It's hard to say who is the better photographer, James or Tim.
