The First Fall Weekend!

We had the kids this weekend and because I've been dying to go around the Alpine loop we thought it would be great to see the colors in the rain. It was amazing and of course the pictures don't do it justice but they are still worth taking....

Then on Sunday I finally convinced Dusty to go to IKEA and look for a bed. Our old one had the biggest sink whole and was so uncomfortable (don't ever buy a Sealy Posturepedic).
This is our new bed.....

It hurt our backs last night because we are used to the sinking one but I loved not having to sleep on Dusty and I think, once we're used to it, it will be great!

I love your bed! How much was it? What did your old one look like?

The mountain trees look so rad right now. It's hard to stomach the fact that the whole place will be asphyxiated with snow soon.

Makes me a bit queasy.

we have that same bed frame in black, so does Keri! :0) we got different night stands though. A good bed will make a huge difference in your life. we got a new one when we got married, i've actually kicked jerome out of ours until the baby comes so i can sleep. poor guy! :0) i sleep wonderfully though

I love that bed. Is that a Japanese platform bed? I love your fall pictures too.

The bed frame with the upgraded slates was $260 and the latex mattress was $699. We're done with cheaping out on mattresses and if we don't like it within 90 days we can take it back :) The style of the bed is called Malm.

Kass - what mattress do you have and do you like it?

I've been begging Jeff for a new bed for like, three years now. I think ours IS a Sealy postrapedic. Or however that's spelled. Also, our bed has TWO sink holes. So I guess that's better than the one...but still sucks. Maybe one day...

I am sorely jealous. Our bed sucks. I'm rickety all the time because of it.

yeah it is one of those things I dream about owning one day. I have never slept in a more uncomfortable bed...

We sufferend for nearly a year on ours so I know exactly what you mean! It's well worth the investment when you can make it!
