We drove down on Friday night through the snow storms and arrived at about 8.30pm. We were the lucky ones - the rest of the group didn't arrive until 3.30am!
The next day we went site seeing and found the amazing dam..it was so pretty but so cold...
That night we found a great way to keep warm outside - this is the bar area that we turned into a lounge - it was great!!
Ahhhh...
One of our friends brought their dog so we thought it would be fun to take it on a walk around the marina.
The views were just so pretty...
This was our trip into Page, AZ... as you can see the dog made sure she was in the photo!
We then went to Horse Shoe Canyon which was fantastic but of course the guys had to try and get as close to the edge as possible.
What a view.....

Getting that close to the edge makes my stomach drop just looking at the picture.

Also, you guys should do that at Dead Horse Point. And I'll watch, cowering behind a rock.

I was a little sick looking at that pick of you guys so near the edge, too. Don't you ever have those little niggling thoughts to just jump when you get to the edge? Maybe that's just me and crazy people. I've never been on a houseboat....Hmm. Maybe someday.
And those people are the biggest sign flashers I've seen since I was in college...are people still doing that?
Oh you need to go to Lake Powell and enjoy the sun one day! It's one of my favorite places. I almost barfed then peed my pants looking at you all so close to that edge! No joke, my feet are still sweating... Glad you all made it back alive!
Rainey I haven't either! I too wanted to barf looking at that picture, I don't do well with edges, or cliffs or bridges for that matter.
I would love to go stay on a house boat. I have never even been to lake powell?!
So that picture of you sitting on the edge where it looks like your finger is up your nose.... I have a picture of me (about 20 years ago) sitting in that same place on the edge and it also looks like my finger is up my nose.
